The Coming of the Storm

Black clouds roll across the vast blue expanse,
Silver-capped waves crashing on the shores of the sky,
Pulling the light of day down, down to the depths
'Til shadows are all that remain;
And the heavens cry out at their loss,
Tears raining upon the parched and darkened ground,
While the thunder celebrates it's victory over the Sun
With frightening applause.
